I am a dedicated teacher who provides 1:1 tutoring in reading and writing. I will provide a tailored educational experience for children aged 5-14, allowing them to develop essential literacy skills at their own pace. As a certified Reading Specialist/Consultant with a Master of Science in Remedial Reading and Remedial Language Arts, I employ targeted strategies that cater to individual learning styles, ensuring that each child can overcome specific challenges and build confidence in their abilities. Personalized sessions focus on individual needs surrounding the five pillars of reading: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. I also focus on fostering a love for reading and expression. This focused approach not only addresses gaps in knowledge but also empowers students to engage with texts meaningfully, fostering a lifelong appreciation for literacy.
